Located in Pasadena, less than 10km's South of the Adelaide CBD, Sukha Village is a unique self- sufficient residential development designed to accomodate a multicultural, multigenerational, diverse community. Suhka Village’s vision is to strive toward a highly sustainable and self reliant community and for residents to have access to all amenities needed within the community. The community features renewable solar energy, water storage, and fresh food production. The complex is designed to produce as much energy as it consumes, in water, caring for the local ecology, and social opportunities. Designed and developed to as harmlessly integrate the community into the local environment as possible, with emphasis on restoring and protecting indigenous flora and fauna. It will generate ongoing social and economic opportunity for Pasadena and thrives off social diversity.

The village additionally features a cafe with delivery meal services, a creche, health and wellbeing centre, community run circles, a multipurpose recreation room, a bike repair workshop, small office and home office spaces (SoHo), a greenhouse and gardening spaces for food production. The village is a pedestrian only space, landscaped with shading-trees, street furniture, picnic + recreation and safe spaces for children to play. A vision for monthly food, clothing and crafts markets to be held the central community open spaces would build a beautiful community environment and provide residents with the ability to generate a side income and/or support others in the local community. Bike parking is ample, and public transport usage encouraged, with minimal onsite car parking to encourage residents to stay active, support local and increase green space. The village provides residents with all amenities needed through community run programs as well as through financially shared initiatives. A reception space located off Fiveash Drive servicing the whole complex is affiliated with local health care providers, repair and maintenance professionals and for general needs. Professionals will provide in-house services to less-mobile residents. Residents who wish to advertise services to the rest of the community are able to do so through the reception, creating a tight-knit self-sufficient community.

The main northern wing features a creative hub, shared kitchen, living, dining and laundry facilities for occupants, on the second floor. This Maximises liveable spaces and comfort, reduces overall energy and water usages and increases community interactions. Sukha Village will become an exciting and stimulating space for the wider community, offering a cultural oasis that caters for all ages. A flexible and lively space for young families, couples, singles, students, establishes families, retirees, family and friends with housing typologies to suit all.
